Hospitality company Minor Hotels is set to open NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort, its first NH Hotels & Resorts branded property in the Indian Ocean, on 1 September 2024.
Located in South Ari Atoll, the property will offer 51 suites and villas, ranging from 90m² to 231m² and featuring an inner courtyard or pool.
The resort will also offer various restaurants, a spa with three treatment rooms, a gym, an indoor kids' club, and babysitting services.
Minor Hotels CEO and Minor International CEO Dillip Rajakarier said: "Minor Hotels has long been one of the largest global hospitality operators in the Maldives, a destination of immense strategic importance for our group.
"Adding to our luxury portfolio, the introduction of NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort marks our first upscale property in the archipelago, as we expand our reach and deliver a stunning Maldives experience to guests seeking the perfect blend of indulgence and accessibility."
The new resort will expand Minor Hotels' presence in the Maldives to eight properties.
It represents the third resort property globally under the NH Hotels & Resorts brand, joining NH Marina Portimao Resort in Portugal and NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort in Thailand.
NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort is a 25-minute seaplane journey from Malé, followed by a brief speedboat transfer.
Its location also offers guests easy access to diving and snorkelling sites.
In June, Minor Hotels signed a management agreement with Boulevard Hotel Company to introduce the NH Hotels & Resorts brand in Bangkok.
