Indian hotel management company NILE Hospitality is planning to expand its brand portfolio through strategic partnerships with other hotel companies.
In an interview with ETHospitalityWorld.com, NILE Hospitality CEO and founder Vikram Singh Chauhan said that the new strategic plan will provide its developers and owners with a broader range of brand options.
The expansion plan builds on NILE Hospitality’s recently formalised collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group to develop new Park Inn & Suites by Radisson branded properties in the Indian states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The partnership will see NILE develop the mid-market brand in these two Indian states.
Chauhan highlighted that the company is also actively seeking similar master franchisee partnerships to diversify the brands it can offer to asset owners and developers.
NILE is currently working on four Park Inn & Suites by Radisson hotel projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan and expects to finalise these within a month.
Commenting on the benefits of the Park Inn & Suites by Radisson brand, Chauhan noted that it is suitable for sub-100 room hotels, a segment previously overlooked by international hotel companies in India.
Chauhan said: “Except for Wyndham Hotels, no other international brand was keen on signing sub-100 room inventory hotels in India. There was a vacuum in the market for an international brand in that space.”
According to Chauhan, properties typically have between 60 and 75 rooms in Tier-II and III markets in India, where investors are less inclined to develop large hotels.
NILE said it sees significant potential for both greenfield projects and conversions to the Park Inn & Suites brand in these regions.
NILE Hospitality's portfolio currently has 22 hotels already operational, including four Hyatt and six Radisson properties, as well as eight Wyndham brands and a few independent hotels.
The company's pipeline includes a 110-key independent brand in Ayodhya, a 126-room Hyatt Regency in Ghaziabad, a Ramada Encore and a Wyndham Garden in Udaipur.
The 75-room Ramada Encore Udaipur is expected to open shortly, with the Hyatt Regency Ghaziabad and the Ayodhya Hotel anticipated to launch by the end of the year, Chauhan told ETHospitalityWorld.com.
