New York-based Noor Staffing Group has acquired Star Hospitality Group, a hospitality staffing solutions provider for 44 years.

The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by the companies.

This deal enables Noor Staffing Group to expand its services in staffing hospitality and food and beverage professionals with top-tier clients in the tri-state area of the US.

The merger allows Star Hospitality to expand its geographic reach using Noor Staffing Group's nationwide footprint.

Star Hospitality Group chief operating officer Lance Herman said: "StarHG will continue to provide outstanding service to its clients and gain additional resources and access through this strategic partnership with Noor Staffing Group."

Operational for more than 25 years, Star Hospitality Group offers outsourced staffing services to hotels, corporate dining centres and catering venues in New York and New Jersey.

Noor Staffing Group provides staffing and recruitment services to a wide range of national and local clients, including state, federal and local organisations.

It is a part of the Noor group of companies and has more than 5,700 internal and contingent employees across 40 US states.

Commenting on the acquisition, Noor Staffing Group principal Habib Noor said: "This merger is perfectly timed. In 2024, we expect to see a resurgence in the hotel market, with many new hotels opening.

"Food and beverage demand will reach its peak. StarHG's team has the experience and network of clients and staff to capitalise on these trends."

AI-driven technologies are disrupting the travel and tourism sector

With AI, making travel arrangements become easier as it offers automated and customized services. Generative AI can analyze extensive customer data, such as travel history and preferences, to generate personalized recommendations for destinations, activities, and itineraries. AI is a clear opportunity for the travel industry, but companies need to figure out how to use it in a targeted and strategic way rather than taking a scattergun approach. Therefore, travel companies must blend digital innovation with a personalized communication strategy to optimize customer satisfaction.
