India-based Onora Hospitality has signed a deal to launch its first wellness resort under the new Bookmark Resorts brand.

Under its jüSTa and Nuo brands, Onora has 20 boutique hotels and resorts with an inventory of approximately 500 rooms in eight Indian states.

According to LiveMint, Bookmark Resorts, similar to jüSTa, will operate on three different business models: revenue share, management contracts and extended leases.

The first Bookmark Resort will open in Manali on a revenue-sharing basis, with 39 rooms and suites.

The resort in Manali will be situated adjacent to the Log Huts, the Old Manali area and Mall Road.

The business intends to open ten resorts under the brand in the area in the next three years.

Onora aims to achieve a revenue of Rs1bn ($1.2m) by the end of the current fiscal year through strategic growth and operations.

The company opened ten resorts under the jüSTa brand in northern India, including in Uttarakhand’s Rishikesh and Mukteshwar, Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala, Mashobra and Manali, Rajasthan’s Udaipur and Goa.

Onora founder and CEO Ashish Vohra said: “Currently, well-being resorts in India are either at premium levels and price points or at a very basic level of service. Given how people are focusing on well-being, we wished to bring a luxury, target-oriented, holistic wellness offering to a larger audience.

“Since wellbeing is all about reconnecting with your inner self, our vision is to offer transformative getaways at inspiring locations that lend themselves to discovery experiences.”
