ONYX Hospitality Group has completed the key handover ceremony for Amari Colombo, its new property in Sri Lanka.
This event marks the property's transition to ONYX Hospitality Group.
Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024, Amari Colombo will offer 167 rooms.
The hotel will introduce new dining experiences to Sri Lanka, including Ahara Thai Seafood, which will serve fresh Thai seafood; and Prego, an ONYX brand, making its debut in the country.
It will also feature a variety of bars and lounges.
ONYX Hospitality Group senior vice president and operations head Harold Enrique Olaya Leon said: “At ONYX Hospitality Group, we are dedicated to enhancing our brand standards and delivering exceptional service to create unforgettable guest experiences.
“The key handover ceremony for Amari Colombo marks a pivotal moment for this exceptional property. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience the warmth and hospitality synonymous with Amari while also showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka and contemporary Thai culture.”
ONYX Hospitality Group's portfolio includes a variety of brands such as Amari, OZO, Shama, and Oriental Residence.
Earlier this year, ONYX Hospitality Group announced plans to expand its Shama brand with the introduction of Shama Rayong in Thailand.
The property is being developed in association with Dream D.
