Our Habitas and Qatar Airways partner for new beach resort

The 42-key Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is scheduled to open in January 2024.

Hospitality group Our Habitas has entered a strategic partnership with Qatar Airways for its first beach resort in Ras Abrouq, Qatar.

According to a press release on Zawya, Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is scheduled to open in January 2024, forming part of a new multi-destination hotel circuit within the region.

This resort will also mark the hospitality group’s second property in the Middle East.

It will have 42 villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms, each featuring private pools and outdoor decks with views of the Arabian Gulf.

Our Habitas Ras Abrouq will also include the Qissa Restaurant, a beach club and bar, a terrace lounge, a wellness centre, a gym, an infinity swimming pool, a water sports adventure hub, and padel courts.

The property, situated at the edge of the Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve protected by UNESCO, will be an hour’s drive west of Doha.

It will offer the brand’s ‘Luxury for the Soul’ concept through new experiences drawing inspiration from the country’s art, music, food, and more.

Partnering with Qatar Museums, Qatar Tourism and creative institutions, Our Habitas will create itineraries offering insights into the region's history.

Our Habitas’s ‘Our Journeys’ programme provides multi-destination experiences to guests, including tailored itineraries, transportation assistance, and special programming.

It is currently available in Mexico, providing guests access to explore Tulum, Bacalar, and San Miguel de Allende through Our Habitas homes.

Analyzing the key trends in luxury travel

In 2022, luxury travel took on a new perspective, prioritizing experiences over material possessions. Travelers sought personalized and customized journeys, while also embracing sustainability and responsible travel practices. With the increasing number of people working remotely and enjoying greater flexibility in their schedules, there has been a noticeable surge in bleisure travel.
