Hotel chain and management company OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels has unveiled plans to acquire Kaua‘i Beach Resort & Spa in Hawaii, the US.

The 25-acre beachfront resort is situated in Līhu‘e on the Garden Island of Kaua‘i.

It features 350 guestrooms, four pools, the Hawaiian Rainforest Spa and Hair Salon, a fitness centre, and pool volleyball.

Kaua‘i Beach Resort & Spa also includes three food and beverage venues, including Naupaka Terrace, Shutters Lounge and Driftwood Bar

A business centre with 25,000ft² of meeting and event space are also included.

The company expects the deal to conclude on 22 August 2023, marking the seventh acquisition it made in Hawaii, Thailand, and the Maldives in the last two years.

OUTRIGGER Resorts & Hotels president and CEO Jeff Wagoner said: “OUTRIGGER’s legacy in Hawai‘i spans 75 years; we remain committed to being exceptional stewards of this special place and its rich cultural heritage while contributing to the prosperity of the local community.

“Kaua‘i Beach Resort & Spa was managed by OUTRIGGER in the 1990s, so this transition feels like a welcome home – we look forward to further enhancing the property for both our guests and hosts.”

Last month, the company announced plans to acquire the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel located on the Island of Maui, Hawaii.
