London-based Parkside Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to further expand its portfolio by signing at least 20 hotels in India by the end of 2024, according to ETHospitalityWorld.com.
The company has already signed contracts for a few hotels in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The property in Himachal Pradesh includes a boutique resort in Dharamshala. This resort, set to be branded Portola, will operate on a lease model basis.
A 60-room hotel at Fogo, near Shimla, in Himachal Pradesh, has also been signed by the hotel company and this hotel is expected to open by October 2024.
In Maharashtra, the company has signed three properties, including Vihang Beach Resort, an existing property in Dapoli town.
The other two properties in Maharashtra feature a 50-room four-star hotel at Harnai in Dapoli and a mixed-use development in Murud Janjira town.
Established in 1975, Park Hotels & Resorts currently has 65 operational hotels in over 25 countries. These properties operate in the budget and mid-market categories.
In the last five years, the company has expanded into various models, including hotel management contracts.
Parkside Hotels & Resorts technical director – business development for India and the GCC and master franchisee for India, Shankar Bharadwaj, said: “We have four hotels each in China and Indonesia now under a management contract. Except for the rental model, we are open to all other models.”
In India, the brand is open to all types of partnership models, including the revenue share format.
