Playa Hotels & Resorts has completed the renovations of the recently renamed Wyndham Alltra Vallarta in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

This comes after Wyndham Alltra made its debut in the Dominican Republic with the opening of an oceanfront resort on the Samaná Peninsula earlier this year.

The resort enhancements at the former Wyndham Alltra Riviera Nayarit draw inspiration from ancient Huichol culture.

Wyndham Alltra Vallarta general manager Marco Guerrero said: “The enhancements of Wyndham Alltra Vallarta capture the vivid spirit of Mexico as well as the Wyndham Alltra brand.

“I am proud to introduce guests to a variety of upgraded areas to enjoy their vacations in the most carefree manner.”

The renovation included 159 guest rooms, featuring the Junior Suite Ocean View and Club Junior Suite Ocean View categories.

Club-level guests will have access to the enhanced Alltra VIP Club, which features semi-private check-in and check-out, concierge assistance and personalised cocktail service.

These guests will also be able to enjoy in-suite Nespresso coffee makers, improved minibars and a complimentary hydrotherapy spa experience.

Wyndham Alltra Vallarta has also revamped its five dining venues, catering to diverse tastes with international and local cuisines.

The hotel’s new concept, called Agave Bar, is the company’s first mezcaleria, offering an authentic taste of Mexico.

Additionally, the hotel's ballroom has undergone renovation, providing space for weddings, conferences and other special occasions.

Wyndham Alltra Vallarta has also introduced a 40% discount on bookings available for a limited time, applicable for stays through 20 December 2024.

Wyndham Alltra, an upper midscale all-inclusive resort brand, was launched in 2021 by Wyndham.

Gen Z and their impact on the travel and tourism industry

Gen Z has been called the most disruptive generation ever by Bank of America, and its influence is on the rise at a time of great uncertainty. Gen Z's focus on local and micro-tourism is reshaping the industry towards a more sustainable, community-centric, and culturally enriching approach to travel. This shift is not only influencing the destinations and activities that are popular but also the way travel companies market and provide services to cater to the preferences of this generation.
