Preferred Hotels & Resorts, an independent hotel brand, has expanded its global portfolio with the addition of 15 new member properties from 1 January to 31 March 2024.

The expansion includes a range of luxury and boutique hotels across 13 countries and four continents.

Notable additions include the Farol Hotel, a boutique establishment in Cascais, Portugal, featuring 33 rooms, two restaurants and bars and an outdoor swimming pool.

The company also added the 45-room CordeValle in San Martin, California to its LVX Collection.

It features three restaurants and bars, a wellness spa, and an estate winery.

In Mexico, Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomed Hotel Mousai Cancun - A Tafer Resort, which comprises 88 oceanfront suites and various amenities.

This resort, located on the white sands of Costa Mujeres, is expected to open its doors next month.

It offers guests two expansive pools, Spa Imagine, and a variety of dining options, including a 24-hour suite service.

The company has also included Hotel Ambassador Split in Croatia in its LVX Collection.

Situated in the heart of Split on the West Coast promenade, the hotel offers 98 contemporary rooms and two suites.

The property, which dates back to 1937, is known for its in-house guest experience team, the “Diplomats,” who provide personalised service and local insights.

For those seeking an escape into nature, the Himalayan Wildlife Sanctuary in Chitwan, Nepal, part of the Lifestyle Collection, offers a secluded retreat.

The sanctuary features 27 guestrooms and villas, authentic Nepali and international cuisine, and access to Chitwan National Park.

Other new members include Durango Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ara Maris in Sorrento, Italy, Glee Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, and several others.

Each new member hotel participates in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, the brand’s points-based loyalty programme, which has a global enrolment of five million travellers.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts CEO Lindsey Ueberroth said: “We are proud to welcome this distinctive group of 15 new member properties, including six new openings, to our global portfolio of luxury independent hotels.
