Offering 558 rooms and a convention centre, the resort aims to boost corporate events and international group tourism in the Philippines.

Radisson Hotel Group and Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts have partnered to introduce a resort on the island of Panglao, Bohol province, in the Philippines.

The Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol, a member of Radisson Individuals, aims to redefine luxury at this destination.

The Radisson Individuals affiliation brand emphasises one-of-a-kind locations and experiences, allowing hotels to showcase their character while upholding Radisson's standards, thus ensuring a blend of individuality and excellence.

The resort is expected to open in 2025.

Oasis in Panglao

Spanning 2.9 hectares, the Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol will give Panglao a lakeside haven close to sandy beaches.

Offering 558 rooms and a convention centre, the resort aims to boost corporate events and international group tourism in the Philippines.

Designed by Palafox and Associates, the resort draws inspiration from "Pahinungod," a Philippino term meaning "offering to a noble purpose" and embodying dedication and homage to the spirit of Bohol.

With locally inspired rooms, standalone villas, pools, a spa, a fitness centre and diverse dining options, the resort promises an immersive experience.

Leadership perspectives on the project

Ramzy Fenianos, chief development officer, Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, expressed excitement about the strategic expansion in the Philippines, stating: “Partnering with a renowned local developer like Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts is certainly a strong vote of confidence in our brands and this landmark project will contribute to the development of the island's tourism sector as we continue to introduce market-relevant brands to support owners and developers."

Susan Bernado, chief operating officer of Crown Regency Hotels & Resorts, highlights the collaborative effort and the resort's potential, stating: “Radisson Hotel Group's white-label opportunity [an opportunity to display a company's identity on a product the company did not originally create] allows us to retain the resort's distinct local personality while also tapping into its strong global network and distribution to elevate our international presence.”

Expanding Radisson's footprint in the Philippines

The 900m² convention centre positions the resort as a prime meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions venue.

Its proximity to Bohol-Panglao International Airport, the UNESCO Global Geopark and key domestic cities further enhances its appeal.

The Crown Regency Grand Paradise Resort Bohol will join Radisson‘s portfolio, complementing existing properties in the Philippines. The portfolio includes five Park Inn by Radisson hotels and a Radisson Blu resort, with more developments underway.

Gen Z and their impact on the travel and tourism industry

Gen Z has been called the most disruptive generation ever by Bank of America, and its influence is on the rise at a time of great uncertainty. Gen Z's focus on local and micro-tourism is reshaping the industry towards a more sustainable, community-centric, and culturally enriching approach to travel. This shift is not only influencing the destinations and activities that are popular but also the way travel companies market and provide services to cater to the preferences of this generation.
