Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm, marking the introduction of its upscale Radisson RED brand to Berlin, Germany.
Slated to welcome guests in this year’s spring season (March to May), the hotel is positioned steps away from Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin's premier shopping streets, and within walking distance of the iconic KaDeWe department store.
The Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm will offer 133 guest rooms, including 14 studios, all designed to provide a blend of style, comfort, and functionality, according to the company’s press release.
The hotel will cater to tech-savvy guests with self-check-in terminals and a comprehensive hotel app, which will allow guests to access their rooms, control room features, and order food and drinks seamlessly.
This property will also house an all-day dining restaurant on the ground floor, serving a variety of international cuisines from morning to evening.
Arena Hospitality Group is the co-owner and manager of the property under a long-term agreement.
Arena Hospitality Group Management Board president and CEO Reli Slonim said: “We are thrilled to announce the Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm and believe this dynamic brand will be a great addition to the Berlin hotel market, in what is one of Europe’s most vibrant capital cities.
“This repositioning project is scheduled to open ahead of the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament and will complement our already diversified hotel portfolio in the German capital.
“This new Radisson RED opening will follow shortly after our planned January 2024 launch of the Radisson RED Belgrade, which are both part of our further growth and portfolio optimisation strategy.”
The hotel's location is ideal for tourists and business travellers alike, with proximity to notable attractions such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Berlin Zoo, and the expansive Tiergarten park.
For business travellers, Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm will offer co-working spaces equipped with the latest technology, including complimentary WIFI.
The hotel will also feature flexible event spaces that incorporate game areas and a summer garden terrace, providing an inviting atmosphere for both work and leisure during Berlin's warmer months.
The addition of Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm will complement Radisson Hotel Group's existing portfolio in the city, which includes Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin, art'otel Berlin Mitte, Hotel Berlin, Berlin, a member of Radisson Individuals, Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz, Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin Mitte, and Park Plaza Berlin.
Radisson Hotel Group executive vice-president and global chief development officer Elie Younes said: “We are excited to bring our vibrant and dynamic Radisson RED brand to Berlin and extend our strategic partnership with PPHE Hotel Group and its Croatian subsidiary Arena Hospitality Group.
“This is our second Radisson RED hotel under this partnership as we continue to collaborate on growth opportunities across our portfolio of brands.”
