Radisson Hotel Group has bolstered its presence in Finland with its first Radisson RED hotel in Helsinki.

Located in Kaisaniemi Park, the eight-story hotel offers 195 rooms and suites, emphasising contemporary design.

Tom Flanagan Karttunen, area senior vice-president for Northern and Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed anticipation about the expansion in a statement saying: "Radisson RED Helsinki is our fourth Radisson RED in Scandinavia, reflecting the brand's popularity in the Nordic region. We eagerly anticipate welcoming travellers to this addition to our portfolio."

Modernist structure in Kaisaniemi Park

The Radisson RED Helsinki is within walking distance of Helsinki Central Station and Oodi library, targeting both business and leisure travellers.

General manager Mika Virtanen added: "We're opening Finland's first Radisson RED in Helsinki, providing a base for exploring the city's design, architecture and urban culture. Our guests can expect tips for an unforgettable Helsinki experience."

Radisson RED Helsinki incorporates art into its design, with a three-metre red artwork and a 24-metre mobile work by Finnish artist Jenni Rope.

The ground floor houses RED Bar and Kitchen, a restaurant offering casual dining and socialising.

The RED Guide

To provide an insider's experience, Radisson RED Helsinki will introduce the RED Guide, a curated list of local sights and unique experiences.

Developed in collaboration with the city of Helsinki and locals, the guide aims to reveal the city's hidden gems, with the inaugural edition to be unveiled during the grand opening party in January 2024.
