In a significant expansion move, Radisson Hotel Group has announced the inauguration of the Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit, marking its debut in the African safari hospitality realm. This establishment, the group's 11th in South Africa, is positioned between the Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon.

Prime location

2km outside Hoedspruit in Limpopo province and a 20-minute drive from Eastgate Airport, Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit offers panoramic views of the Drakensberg mountains.

The location offers an immersive experience, with opportunities for safaris to witness local wildlife, horseback trekking and hot air balloon rides.

The hotel offers 138 rooms and suites featuring contemporary Scandinavian design, from standard rooms with garden and mountain views to premium suites equipped with private pools.

Amenities

Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit offers a diverse culinary experience across three restaurants. Mirage, its thatched roof restaurant, presents South African and Lebanese-inspired cuisine, while Pegasus offers Mediterranean, Italian, Mexican and American-inspired dishes. The Boma restaurant provides a unique taste of Africa.

Featuring a planter roof and expansive views, Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit's Amani Spa has five treatment rooms, a couples' suite and a health bar.

The new hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness centre and versatile event spaces, including boardrooms and a banquet hall accommodating 200 guests, catering to both leisure and business travellers.

Strategic expansion

Tim Cordon, chief operating officer of Radisson Hotel Group, expressed excitement about the safari hotel's opening.

“The opening of Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit marks our 11th hotel opening in South Africa and completes our own Golden Triangle Safari offering with exquisite properties in Cape Town and the recently opened Radisson Blu Resort Mosi-oa-Tunya in Livingstone.”

Charles McCarthy, general manager of Radisson Hotel Safari Hoedspruit, anticipates delivering unparalleled hospitality in a safari-inspired setting.

“Our extensive offering will ensure guests have an unforgettable experience whether they are enjoying a family holiday, a serene couples escape, or a meeting or event with a unique backdrop.”
