Red Roof has opened its 700th hotel, the Red Roof PLUS+ Jamaica in New York, and a new prototype, the HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Tampa – Airport in Florida, US.

Red Roof PLUS+ Jamaica, offering 86 rooms, entails an investment exceeding $20m and is owned by RiverBrook Hospitality CEO Steven Mendel.

It is a family and pet-friendly hotel, situated four miles from JFK International Airport.

The hotel rooms are 100% smoke-free and come with microwaves, mini-refrigerators, and in-room coffee makers. PREMIUM rooms include upgraded coffee facilities, a snack box, and more.

Additionally, the hotel provides a range of amenities including a business centre and a fitness facility.

Its location offers access to various attractions in Queens, such as Resorts World Casino, King Manor Museum, and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

The new HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Tampa - Airport, owned by Dhruv Development CEO Vijay Patel, is the first to feature the new HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof prototype unveiled in 2021.

This property offers 124 extended-stay suites, each with a kitchenette, among other facilities.

Red Roof president Zack Gharib said: “This is a critically important time for our brand as we evolve to meet the changing needs and expectations of our franchisees and guests.

“There is continued demand for Red Roof, and these two new property openings demonstrate our commitment to elevate the brand and create a consistent experience and great value for our guests, our franchisees and our communities.”

Earlier this year, Red Roof joined forces with Canine Companions for its ‘Room In Your Heart’ purpose-driven programme.
