Remington Hospitality has announced the rebranding and comprehensive renovation of the Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Airport & Conference Center in Texas, US, marking the company's management takeover of the property.

This move represents Remington's first collaboration with Domus Holdings and its introduction to the vibrant Corpus Christi area, according to Remington's press release posted on Hospitalitynet.org.

Strategically located near the Port of Corpus, the hotel serves guests linked to the region's growing oil, gas, and welding industries.

Remington Hospitality operations vice president Stephanie Bauer Ribbs said: “We’re honoured to have been selected to spearhead this impactful brand refresh and renovation from the ground up.

“Our team is thrilled to oversee the operation of this hotel, which is poised to become a premier destination for group meetings, events, and travellers, further enhancing the region’s burgeoning business landscape.”

Constructed in 1981 as a Holiday Inn, the building was later transformed into the Corpus Christi Atrium Hotel.

Following an extensive refurbishment, the property is set to re-emerge as part of the renowned Holiday Inn brand.

Catering to busy local and visiting business travellers, the hotel features 6,800ft² of flexible meeting space, 236 tranquil guest rooms, and an inviting on-site bar and restaurant.

The hotel's redesigned lobby acts as a communal area, accommodating various work styles and preferences, offering guests a space that promotes both productivity and relaxation.

Established in 1968, Remington manages 135 hotels across 27 states and Washington, DC, covering 33 brands, which include 16 independent and boutique properties.

Last month, the company selected Mews to deploy its property management system at several of its independent hotels and resorts.

In addition, Remington Hospitality also broadened its technology partnership with Amadeus, a move anticipated to drive strategic growth and generate new revenue, capitalising on Amadeus' expansive network of over 44,000 properties worldwide.
