Marriott International has signed an agreement with Eagle Hills, to open the UAE's first Ritz-Carlton Reserve on Ramhan Island, Abu Dhabi.
This luxury property promises a secluded waterfront experience with views of the Arabian Gulf.
Marriott International Middle East chief operating officer Sandeep Walia said: “Together with Eagle Hills, we look forward to bringing Ritz-Carlton Reserve to the UAE and offering intimate and transformative experiences in an ultra-luxury setting."
The anticipated opening of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve in 2029 marks a significant expansion of Marriott International's luxury portfolio in the UAE, responding to the robust demand for luxury experiences.
Eagle Hills chairman Mohammad Alabbar highlighted the project's significance, saying: "This collaboration with Marriott International on Ramhan Island marks a milestone in our commitment to shaping extraordinary experiences and redefining luxury hospitality."
Ramhan Island is poised to become a premier luxury destination, featuring over four million square kilometres of development.
The island will offer an ultra-luxury community with residential villas, marina residences, and advanced amenities for both residents and tourists.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve will be nestled on a secluded part of the island, boasting 50 private villas, including the region’s first anticipated floating villas with waterfront views.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand is known for providing luxurious escapes that offer personal connections and reflect the local culture, heritage, and environment.
With only seven exclusive properties worldwide, this expansion into the UAE represents a significant addition to the Ritz-Carlton Reserve collection.
In addition to Thailand, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, this brand has a presence in Saudi Arabia, where it opened a property on Ummahat Island last month.
