Rockwall Boutique Hotel, a privately owned boutique hotel, has opened in Induruwa village of Sri Lanka, reported Sunday Observer.

Besides adding to the country’s list of boutique hotels, Rockwall Boutique Hotel is expected to offer ‘ultimate luxury’ for guests.

Rockwall Boutique Hotel is claimed to have been ‘brought to life’ by consultant, vascular, and transplant surgeon Dr. Ranjuka Ubayasiri through diversification into the leisure industry from medical field.

Dr. Ranjuka Ubayasiri said: "I am delighted and happy that I was able to add an icon to the tourism landscape in Sri Lanka.

“Rockwall is not merely a luxury hotel but a blend of modern-day facilities, services, and spaces combined with the warm hospitality of my country."

Situated on a beach near Bentota town, the hotel boasts of 14 deluxe rooms overlooking the beach, ocean, and coconut grove.

It also includes king and emperor suites, with each featuring private outdoor areas and a private plunge pool.

The air-conditioned guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors offer king-sized beds and bathrooms with herbal amenities and a bathtub.

The hotel’s restaurant serves gourmet dishes and cocktails to guests, who can enjoy dining while viewing the turquoise Indian ocean.

The property can host a range of events, such as business conferences, birthdays, and engagement parties, at its multi-purpose banquet hall overlooking the Induruwa beach.

Among the amenities provided at the hotel include a 24/7 fitness facility and a swimming pool with the rock shower and outdoor shower next to it.

Rockwall Boutique Hotel in Induruwa is managed by Acorn Leisure, a hotel management company that operates in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Demand for upscale and luxurious products has been rising steadily in the travel and tourism sector

The increased need for privacy, a greater focus on health and wellbeing, a desire to tick off ‘bucket list’ experiences, the tendency to take longer trips, the focus on eco-tourism, and an increase in millionaires means the theme of premiumization will continue to grow in importance. The travel industry will experience a surge in demand for higher-end and customized offerings as experiential consumption keeps growing. While premiumization attracts only a small number of global travelers, it is a valuable revenue stream for companies as it is unlikely to be impacted by external factors like economic downturns.
