Sage Hospitality Group, a hospitality management, investment, and development company, is set to assume the management of Hotel Vandivort, a boutique hotel in downtown Springfield, Missouri, US.
Sage Hospitality will be responsible for managing the hotel's daily operations, including the management of its on-site restaurant and rooftop bar.
Hotel Vandivort will become a part of Sage Hospitality’s Sage Independent Hotel Collection, Springfield News-Leader reported.
The Springfield hotel will join the portfolio of several hotels, restaurants and venues operated under this collection across 16 US states, as well as Washington, D.C.
Co-owned by John and Billy McQueary, Hotel Vandivort was originally built in 1906 as a Masonic Temple and now offers a total of 97 guest rooms spread across two buildings.
The hotel has witnessed significant growth, mirroring the city's development. The V2 tower was added in 2019, introducing 48 additional guest rooms, 3,900ft² of meeting space, a fitness centre, a full-service restaurant, and a rooftop lounge that provides views of Springfield.
John McQueary said: “We are excited to partner with Sage Hospitality in this next chapter for Hotel Vandivort.
"Their unique expertise managing independent boutique properties will help us enhance our guest experience and continue to provide elevated hospitality showcasing downtown Springfield.”
Established in 1984, Sage Hospitality Group operates under four divisions: Sage Hotel Management, Sage Restaurant Concepts, Sage Investments, and Sage Studio.
Springfield News-Leader quoted Sage Hospitality Group hotels and restaurants president Daniel del Olmo as saying: “Hotel Vandivort embodies the spirit of Springfield.
"The hotel combines sophisticated design and elevated service with authentic Midwestern hospitality. It is a natural complement to our growing portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels.”
