SAMHI Hotels, an Indian hotel ownership and asset management platform, has signed management agreements with Marriott to rebrand two of its properties.

These properties were purchased as part of the ACIC Portfolio, which included 962 rooms and additional land for development in Navi Mumbai.

The rebranding initiative will transform a 217-room hotel in Pune into a Courtyard by Marriott, with renovations expected to be finalised by the end of fiscal year (FY) 2026.

This move aims to reposition the hotel within the Pune market.

It marks the second Courtyard by Marriott owned by SAMHI Hotels in Bengaluru.

Additionally, a 114-room hotel in Jaipur is set to become a Tribute Portfolio hotel, also under the Marriott umbrella, following a revamp slated for completion by the end of FY 2026.

SAMHI has also transitioned four other ACIC hotels from franchise to management agreements with Marriott.

SAMHI Hotels chairman and managing director Ashish Jakhanwala said: “We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in the integration process for the ACIC portfolio. Over the years, we have demonstrated our ability to drive performance & growth through turnarounds.

“With the proposed rebranding and conversion to management agreements, these hotels will be repositioned for better performance and improve their contribution to SAMHI.”

The company currently has three global hotel operators comprising Marriott, IHG, and Hyatt.

It has 31 operating hotels consisting of 4,801 keys across 13 cities across India and is also developing two more hotels, adding 461 keys to its inventory in Kolkata and Navi Mumbai.
