San Ramon Marriott, a 368-room hotel in California, US, has completed its renovation with an investment of $17m.
The property is owned by an affiliate of Lone Star Funds and operated by hospitality investment and management company HEI Hotel & Resorts.
The renovation was undertaken to elevate guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house services, all of which enabled the hotel to achieve a ‘like-new’ status.
"To compliment the natural beauty of our San Ramon setting, we focused on the renowned California Missions as our design inspiration," said San Ramon Marriott director of sales and marketing Robert Hendricks.
“From the historic Spanish missions to the majestic El Camino Real, California is known for its beautiful architecture. We want our guests to have a more experiential taste of this when they stay with us.
“In addition to the beautiful design aspects, we also went to great lengths to include and/or upgrade the services and amenities most requested by today’s business and leisure travellers. In the heart of Contra Costa County, San Ramon Marriott will become the market and segment destination of choice for discerning travellers.”
Situated at 2600 Bishop Drive, the changes in the hotel include guest rooms receiving new soft and case goods, while the public areas now boast new furniture.
The lobby, including the front desk, saw improvements with new paint, wall coverings, background and furniture.
Additionally, it now offers a new M Club, Marriott's exclusive lounge for Bonvoy members, along with views of the California landscape.
The dining area now features a chandelier and is updated with new lighting, wall coverings, furniture and a redesigned bar.
The hotel also offers 16,600ft² of adaptable meeting space, which has received new carpeting, wallpaper and air walls. This space includes ballrooms as well as intimate event venues.
Other amenities provided at the property include a fitness centre, an outdoor pool and patio surrounded by trees and communal fire pits with seating.
The hotel is also a short walk away from Bishop Ranch City Centre and Roundhouse Conference Centre.
