The Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino development in Florida, US, has reached a construction milestone with a topping-out event.

The final steel beam was hoisted and secured atop the new resort during the ceremony.

The project, managed by a joint venture of contractors Suffolk and WilMen, will replace the existing Seminole Casino Brighton with a new resort.

Seminole Gaming CEO and Hard Rock International chairman Jim Allen said: “A vision has truly become a reality as we placed the final beam atop this new property.

“I thank everyone involved in this project, from the designers and engineers to the day-to-day labourers that are showing the world what the Seminole Tribe is truly about – unconquered vision, unparalleled service and unlimited future.”

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino General Manager Marty Johns said: “We can't wait to open our doors. The new casino and hotel complex is expected to increase the number of tourists to the region, which is very important.”

Due to open in early 2025, the new resort will include a 72,000ft² hotel with 100 guest rooms across four storeys.

This marks the first hotel on the Brighton Seminole Reservation.

Accommodations at the hotel will range between one king bed or two queen beds, along with three suites and a fitness centre.

The resort will also have an around 38,000ft² casino, accommodating 640 slot machines among other gaming offerings.

The property will feature an indoor space that accommodates 400 seats for events and entertainment, or 900 seats for performances.

Additionally, the resort will include Brighton Bay Bowling, a 7,044ft² ten-lane bowling alley with dining options.
