Italian hospitality group Shedir Collection is set to further expand its portfolio by launching the luxury hotel Palazzo Roma in Rome next month.

Situated on Via Del Corso Street, the hotel spans four floors and features 39 rooms and suites, each including 39 different patterns made from nine types of marble.

The hotel’s first floor boasts of a suite with a private balcony offering views of Via del Corso, as reported by TravelDailyNews.

Three additional panoramic suites on the property’s highest level feature terraces with views of Rome's terracotta rooftops.

The property also has ancient pergolas, which provide added privacy while maintaining a connection with the city and its landmarks.

The property houses a museum with original frescoes, wood panelling, coffered ceilings, Versailles teak parquet as well as rare marbles.

Milan-based architect Giampiero Panepinto designed the hotel, blending contrasting colours, materials and textures, all while honouring the building's rich heritage.

According to the publication, Panepinto said: “Working on this project was very rewarding, particularly when we came across many elements that we were adamant about preserving such as frescos and wood panelling.

“Respect and conservation of the building features have been my mantra since we started the works two years ago. Incorporating those elements with a modern-day vision of aristocracy allowed us to create a space that is both luxurious and friendly, intimate and authentic – a true representation of Shedir Collection’s hospitality ethos.”

The hotel’s lobby, known as the Sala della Musica, features a grand piano and an Euterpe statue- the goddess of music- alongside installations of musical artists and classical composers.

Guests can enjoy a list of drinks at the bar located adjacent to the lobby.

The on-site restaurant led by executive chef Federico Sartucci will offer a blend of Roman tradition and international flavours.

The hotel’s Sala degli Orologi features ceiling panels and red pompeiano elements, highlighting a collection of 150 watches.
