Hotel revenue management platform Siteminder has launched its platform as a mobile app at travel and tourism exhibition ITB (Internationale Tourismus Börse) Berlin in Germany.
Available in eight languages, the mobile app allows accommodation providers to forecast revenue performance and take targeted action using a personalised 14-day overview of rooms sold, revenue earned and best-performing distribution channels.
The mobile app represents the first phase of the delivery of SiteMinder’s smart platform, set to launch later in 2024.
Users can respond to real-time booking demand by executing time-sensitive revenue management functions in-app. These include instant rate and availability adjustments, minimum and maximum stay length adjustments and room sale closures until pricing is fully optimised.
Siteminder chief product officer Leah Rankin commented: “We are living in a new era of travel that brings with it new booking patterns and behaviours. Never before have hoteliers had to be so dynamic in their response to an unpredictable booking landscape.”
One of the app’s first adopters is Solmar Hotels & Resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Hermes Alejandro Avendaño Lopez, the company’s corporate e-commerce co-ordinator, says: “The new SiteMinder app has been a lifesaver, enabling us to be much more dynamic at managing the inventory, rates, and availability of our properties."
SiteMinder vice-president of ecosystem and strategic partnerships James Bishop recently told Hotel Management Network about the importance of effective business intelligence within the increasingly competitive hotel booking market.
