St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, a part of Marriott International, has further expanded its portfolio by opening the St. Regis Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

This latest addition is Marriott International’s 500th global luxury property and the first boutique-style luxury hotel in Riyadh.

Located at the entrance of the Diplomatic Quarter, the hotel is close to embassies and the central business district.

Designed by Kristina Zanic, the hotel's artwork seamlessly combines tradition and modernity.

Guests upon arrival are welcomed in the hotel lobby, which features a sculptural staircase and a symbolic crystal chandelier.

The St. Regis Riyadh general manager Marina Krasnobrizhaya said: “The St. Regis Riyadh offers a distinct point of view on luxury and brings the brand’s storied heritage to Via Riyadh. The destination is quickly becoming popular with residents and global travellers alike and is in line with the country’s Vision 2030.

“We look forward to offering guests exceptional experiences that reflect both the history of the destination and the exquisite experiences synonymous with the iconic St. Regis brand.”

The hotel boasts 83 guestrooms, including 21 suites and a two-bedroom Royal Suite with separate living and dining areas, a pantry and a library.

The hotel’s St. Regis Butler Service offers guests personalised service.

Dining options at the property includes Jackie, a multi-cuisine restaurant; Stella Sky and St. Regis Bar, which serves a selection of drinks.

Jackie, spread across the hotel’s two floors, offers space for both family and intimate gatherings, along with American Greek cuisine.

The hotel’s rooftop features Stella Sky, which includes an outdoor pool, sunbeds, indoor seating for live entertainment, shisha and a live sushi station.

Guests can also enjoy coffee, a selection of pastries and St. Regis signature afternoon tea at the hotel’s lounge, called The Drawing Room.

Meanwhile, Celebration Bar provides guests with a place to enjoy beverages by the fireplace.

Additionally, the hotel can host both social and corporate events in its ballroom, which can accommodate 650 guests.

This multi-functional event venue has private access, a bridal suite and a banquet area.

Among other amenities provided at the property are a gym and St. Regis Spa spanning 1240m², which offers four treatment rooms, a couple's suite and saunas.

Situated at the centre of Via Riyadh, the hotel provides guests access to restaurants, designer boutiques as well as a luxury cinema.

The hotel will also be a part of Marriott Bonvoy, a global travel programme by Marriott International.

Currently, the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts brand provides experiences at over 50 luxury properties worldwide.

Gen Z and their impact on the travel and tourism industry

Gen Z has been called the most disruptive generation ever by Bank of America, and its influence is on the rise at a time of great uncertainty. Gen Z's focus on local and micro-tourism is reshaping the industry towards a more sustainable, community-centric, and culturally enriching approach to travel. This shift is not only influencing the destinations and activities that are popular but also the way travel companies market and provide services to cater to the preferences of this generation.
