US-based hospitality company Standard International has revealed its future expansion plans, which include the opening of 14 new hotels within the next five years.
The Standard properties are anticipated to open in Melbourne later this year and in Singapore early next year.
More locations are planned in Lisbon, Brooklyn, Brussels, Austin, Mexico, Dublin, Vancouver, Vienna, Khao Yai, Nashville and Pattaya.
Furthermore, the company will debut its first branded housing units in Asia by adding residences to The Standard, Hua Hin.
Bunkhouse, the firm’s sister hotel brand, also has plans for new openings, with projects in Chattanooga and Fort Worth, along with two projects in Houston and a further two in Mexico.
Standard International’s Peri Hotels brand will add two properties - Bangkok Sukhumvit and Bangkok Riverside.
These follow the opening of Standard hotels in London, Bangkok, the Maldives and Ibiza.
Standard International CEO Amber Asher said: “We are in a unique position as one of the last independent lifestyle brands.
“Most of our competitors have been acquired or have merged into large hotel companies and we find that many developers and capital partners around the world prefer working with us, as a company that remains entrepreneurial, creative, nimble and culturally connected.
“Our owner and developer partners are incredibly proud of the projects we are developing with them, which leads to more projects in our global pipeline.”
