Staypineapple, a boutique hotel brand, has selected hospitality cloud services provider Mews to power its portfolio of ten properties.
The hotel brand has locations in several US cities, including Boston, Chicago, New York City, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego and Seattle.
Staypineapple began implementing Mews at its properties in Seattle in March, and seven of its hotels have now switched to the cloud service provider.
The hotel brand aims to have all properties running on Mews' property management system (PMS) by next month.
Mews supported the brand’s team during the initial high-touch process, enabling Staypineapple to transition to a self-onboarding model for the subsequent rollout.
With more than 1,000 integrations, Mews Marketplace has allowed Staypineapple to create a custom technology stack.
A direct connection with Expedia is anticipated to broaden customer reach while reducing operating costs for the hotel brand.
This shift is claimed to be empowering Staypineapple's guest-facing staff to focus more on guest interaction and less on manual, repetitive tasks.
The features include online check-in, automatic room assignments, and other time-saving automation.
Staypineapple Hotels president Dina Belon said: “From our in-depth revenue management automation to our robust CRM tools, Staypineapple has consistently been ahead of the curve within the industry's technology systems and integrations. It was with this in mind that we made the decision to transition from a legacy PMS software that has had a stronghold on the industry for decades, to Mews' cloud-based and user-friendly platform.
“The ability to utilise the Mews Marketplace for applicable tech stack integrations will provide us the opportunity to reduce technical expenditures and fees while streamlining our team members' bandwidth and ultimately improving the Staypineapple guest experience.”
Last month, Mews enhanced its Mews Hospitality Cloud offerings by integrating Mews Point-of-Sale with Mews Payments.
This initiative aims to achieve operational time savings.
