Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbour welcomes first guests in Florida

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of the independently flagged property.

The Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbour in Florida, US, officially opened to the public in mid-December 2023.

The independently flagged property offers 785 guest rooms, including 189 top-tier luxury Sunsuites™, marking the first entirely new-build resort with more than 750 rooms to open in southwest Florida in more than thirteen years.

To mark the opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, attended by local officials including Charlotte County Commissioner Bill Truex and Sunseeker Resort's President and Chief Operating Officer Micah Richins and Senior Vice-President Jason Shkorupa.

The event celebrated the culmination of efforts from the beginning of the project.

A variety of facilities

The resort features a 60,000ft² meeting and conference space, 20 dining options and bars, two pools, retail outlets along a scenic harbourside promenade and a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa on the third floor of the main tower.

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbour is also home to the exclusive Aileron Golf Club, an 18-hole course available to both members and hotel guests.

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbour offers guests a diverse selection of accommodation from premium coastal-inspired rooms to the opulent Sunsuites.

These luxurious suites, ranging from one to three bedrooms, feature chef-level kitchens, entertaining areas and spacious private balconies.

Guests staying in Sunsuites enjoy services including a separate check-in experience and access to a private lounge offering complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and small bites.
