Teneo Hospitality Group, a global sales organisation that represents more than 350 hotels, resorts, and destination management companies (DMCs) globally, has formed a strategic partnership with Visiting Media to improve sales enablement.

Visiting Media offers immersive sales and marketing solutions to several individual, cluster, as well as global sales teams within the hospitality industry.

The latest alliance is expected to provide Teneo's member hotels that are already using TrueTour by Visiting Media a boost in visibility among meeting professionals.

Teneo Hospitality Group president Mike Schugt said: “We firmly believe in the potential of technology and collaboration. Our alliance with Visiting Media's TrueTour marks a pivotal step in redefining how we enable hospitality sales, enhancing our capacity to deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

TrueTour is a sales enablement and digital asset management software that simplifies the creation, management, and sharing of photos, videos, 360° views, virtual tours etc.

It is tailored for sales teams in the hospitality sector, allowing them to offer personalised experiences to customers.

Further, the collaboration will enable Teneo's event planning clients to visually explore the unique selling features of the hotels involved.

Visiting Media CEO Ben Powers said: “By integrating TrueTour into their platform, Teneo can supercharge their sales endeavours, extending their outreach and effectively engaging customers at an earlier stage of the sales process.”

The integration of TrueTour into the Teneo platform is expected to reform its selling capabilities, providing the platform a captivating and conversion-oriented tool.

Visiting Media's customers will also gain advantages from this partnership, enabling them to broaden their reach and enhance their sales efforts.

The metaverse may accelerate the travel industry’s recovery, though only compelling use cases will lead to adoption

Large travel and tourism organizations have begun exploring use cases for the metaverse following the devastating impact of the pandemic. Current applications either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
