Ground has been broken on The Bays at Frisco, a new 18-acre golf resort between PGA Parkway and US Highway 380 in Texas, US.

This event was attended by leaders from The Bays, TaylorMade and the City of Frisco.

Scheduled to open in late next year, the resort marks a collaboration with TaylorMade.

The Bays founder James Meese said: “The rise of golf post-pandemic has soared as more flock to the outdoors for exercise, so we wanted to create an entertainment venue that includes various professional golf brands that will draw golfers of all levels over and over again.

“Breaking ground on The Bays with a TaylorMade experience will set this golf experience above any other consumer golf experience currently available. Having TaylorMade’s golf equipment leadership and fitting expertise directly available to players allows The Bays to give guests a true Tour experience.”

The four-storey resort will feature a 100,000ft² golf lab and suites, as well as a restaurant and bar and an on-site boutique hotel.

The boutique hotel within The Bays will occupy the third and fourth floors, housing 19 rooms including suites with private hitting bays.

It will also comprise one- and two-bedroom rooms, with executive suites available for corporate events or office retreats.

The Bays will offer access to an exclusive TaylorMade club-fitting experience.

Additionally, the resort will feature a 25,000ft² putting green alongside a bar.

A 12,000ft² private membership club is also planned for the third and fourth floors.
