The Hosteller has announced plans to venture into the hotel space with the introduction of the Bam Hotels brand across India, reported ET Hospitality World

This brand, which is said to be the first fully smart hotel brand in the country, is set to open its first two pilot properties in North Goa this week.

The two new Bam properties, located in Assagao and Saligao, will feature 27 and 11 rooms respectively.

This brand is intended to cater to the premium, boutique segment of the market.

The Hosteller founder Pranav Dangi has outlined plans for the brand, aiming to launch ten Bam hotels in the first phase this year.

These hotels will target an average daily rate (ADR) of Rs10,000 ($120.10) and above.

Once the hotels are booked, the entire experience is said to be managed through a mobile app, covering check-in/check-out, room access, room functionalities, and hotel services.

Tech-based smart hotels will be able to free up positions and roles while offering a seamless hospitality experience to the guests, said the founder.

The technology stack, developed in-house, is expected to be offered as an outsourced service to B2B customers in the industry if the pilot proves successful.

Pranav Dangi said: “Our endeavour is to present Bam Hotels as the smartest hotel brand in the country.”

The Hosteller plans to further add 70 to 75 backpacker hostels in the current financial year, bringing the brand to a total of 125 to 130 properties.

Pranav Dangi notes that to support this rapid expansion, The Hosteller may seek funding, with plans to raise approximately $10m in the next three to four months.
