The Okura Tokyo joins Virtuoso luxury travel network

The induction into the Virtuoso network is expected to unlock new sales and marketing opportunities for Okura Tokyo.

The Okura Tokyo, a luxury hotel in Japan, has been accepted into Virtuoso's exclusive portfolio of luxury travel partners, with more than 2,300 preferred suppliers across 100 countries.

The Okura Tokyo’s induction into Virtuoso is expected to unlock new sales and marketing opportunities through its network of over 20,000 luxury travel advisors and their discerning clientele.

Virtuoso is recognised as a significant player in the luxury travel sector, with its agencies worldwide selling between $28bn and $32bn annually.

The Okura Tokyo's inclusion into its network places the hotel among some of the finest luxury hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators, and other travel entities across the globe.

These partners are known for their client service, offering superior offerings, and good value to Virtuoso clients.

They have the advantage of marketing to Virtuoso clients through network vehicles and engaging with Virtuoso agencies via various communication channels and events, such as Virtuoso Travel Week, the leading global gathering for luxury travel.

The Okura Tokyo general manager Kenji Takayanagi said: “Virtuoso’s acceptance process is incredibly selective, so becoming a preferred partner is a true honor, The reputation Virtuoso member agencies have for outstanding dedication to their clients is a perfect fit with our own bespoke approach to service.

By joining Virtuoso, The Okura Tokyo can gain direct relationships with the world's top leisure travel agencies in regions, including North and Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

Last December, Okura Hotels signed an agreement with Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate to operate and manage Hotel Okura Suzhou in China's Jiangsu Province, starting in 2027.

The Hotel Okura Suzhou features 249 rooms, including 25 suites. It offers a range of amenities, including four food and beverage outlets serving Japanese and Chinese cuisine.

Other amenities include an executive lounge, a fitness centre, and an indoor swimming pool, among others.
