In celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2024, the Westin Tokyo, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has successfully completed all scheduled renovations.

The extensive refurbishments mark a significant milestone, representing the first major overhaul since the hotel's establishment in 1994.

The renovation plans were anchored in a design concept titled 'Heritage and Reinvigoration.' Crafted by A.N.D., a Nomura company, the concept aimed to capture the hotel's three-decade connection to the natural beauty of the Ebisu district.

By seamlessly blending Western styles with elements evoking the area's history, The Westin Tokyo seeks to offer guests a unique sense of place that combines the hotel's DNA with the rich heritage of Ebisu.

Spaces reflecting the beauty of nature

The first floor and Lobby Lounge, unveiled on 2 October 2023 now embody the concept of an orangery, creating a harmonious space connected to the natural surroundings.

The lobby and reception area, featuring original 13m-tall marble columns, provide a breathtaking view of the Westin Garden through wraparound glass, enhancing the connection to nature.

Designed by floral artist Naoki Sasaki, a green installation further accentuates the sublime beauty of nature and Ebisu's original landscapes.

New offerings focused on wellness and culinary delights

The Terrace, the Westin Tokyo's international restaurant, has been transformed into a space promoting healthy eating as an integral part of wellness.

The redesigned restaurant encourages guests to delve into the deeper meanings of the Westin 'Eat Well' philosophy. Patisserie by the Westin Tokyo, now with its own space featuring a glass wall and iron lattice, offers a delectable selection of seasonal cakes, chocolates, and other baked goods.

On the top floor, teppanyaki restaurant Yebisu provides panoramic views of the Tokyo skyline with a redesigned concept of rising flames.

Adjacent to Yebisu is Escalier, a sky bar showcasing elements of the area's beer breweries.

Exclusive services and redesigned guest rooms

The Westin Club, now relocated to the top floor, offers exclusive services and superb views to guests staying in Executive floors and all Suite rooms.

Guests enjoy complimentary breakfasts, snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, business and concierge services, and private check-in and check-outs.

All guest rooms, including Deluxe, Executive, Presidential, and Imperial Suites, underwent a comprehensive redesign.

The concept seamlessly blends European classical elements with the natural surroundings, creating comfortable and relaxing spaces that connect with the lush greenery enveloping the hotel.

"We are delighted with the completion of our scheduled renovations," said Charles Jack, general manager of the Westin Tokyo. "Nestled in Ebisu, The Westin Tokyo is a true urban oasis with an extensive, curated collection of holistic programmes that elevate our guests' well-being during their travels."
