IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its portfolio across the US state of Florida with the signing of InterContinental Orlando.
Slated to open in 2028, the new property on Orlando’s International Drive marks the brand's third hotel in the state.
It will be developed in alliance with Flag Luxury Group and Unicorp National Developments.

Flag Luxury Group CEO Paul Kanavos said: “Together with Unicorp National Developments (Chuck Whittall), we are dedicated to creating unique and top-notch hospitality, cuisine, and cultural offerings, and the InterContinental Orlando will be no exception.”
InterContinental Orlando will feature 700 guest rooms, which include 84 suites.
Five restaurants and bars, including a full-service restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge, a coffee shop, and a pool bar and grill, are planned for the property.
The property will have 15,000ft² of spa and wellness amenities, with a pool and a fitness centre.
It will also provide nearly 106,000ft² of meeting and event space, a business centre and the signature Club InterContinental lounge.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts currently operates more than 220 hotels worldwide and is developing an additional 100 properties.
Recent launches include the InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue in Washington and the InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk
This announcement follows IHG's multi-year collaboration with global NGO Action Against Hunger.
IHG's portfolio currently includes more than 6,400 open hotels across more than 100 countries, with a development pipeline of over 2,200 properties.
