LRGC Gaming Investors, an affiliate of The Cordish Companies, has topped off the upcoming Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana in Bossier City, US.

Several representatives were present at the topping-off ceremony to mark the raising of the final beam for the property, poised to be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market.

Earlier this year, The Cordish Companies presented the master project plan for the project earlier this year.

Entailing an investment of more than $270m, this project is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025.

Cordish Gaming Group president Rob Norton said: “Today marks an incredibly special day for The Cordish Companies as we continue to expand our Live! brand in the south-east region of the country with the development of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana.

“With the first land-based casino in the market, Live! Casino & Hotel will be a transformative development that will bring a first-class gaming and entertainment experience to millions of visitors, create significant new jobs, and generate millions of dollars in economic benefits for the community for generations to come.”

Located along the Red River, directly across from Shreveport, the hotel will feature 550 rooms and access to 30,000ft² of dining and entertainment venues.

During the topping-off ceremony, Live Casino & Hotel Louisiana also unveiled plans for two new dining establishments - Ridotto Grand Café and The Prime Rib Steakhouse.

The hotel will also feature the 25,000ft² multi-purpose Event Center for meetings, social gatherings, and other events.

It will also have a pool and fitness centre, a 31-site RV park complete with concrete pads and full hook-ups, a 47,000ft² gaming space, as well as both structured and surface parking options.
