Tru by Hilton announces new US openings

Hilton’s midscale brand has opened five new hotels across the US with its debut property for New York City in the pipeline.

Tru by Hilton, a midscale brand under Hilton's umbrella, has achieved a significant milestone with the opening of five new hotels in the US. 

The Tru brand opened doors to new properties in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia in October 2023.

This expansion brings the brand’s total count to more than 250 hotels worldwide since its debut in 2016. 

The brand is set to debut in New York City with the Tru by Hilton Brooklyn, the first of its kind in the city, operational by the end of 2023 in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighbourhood.

  • Tru by Hilton Chesapeake Greenbrier, Virginia (87 rooms)
  • Tru by Hilton Christiansburg, Virginia (82 rooms)
  • Tru by Hilton North Richland Hills DFW West, Texas (82 rooms)
  • Tru by Hilton Santee, South Carolina (93 rooms)
  • Tru by Hilton Leland Wilmington, North Carolina (99 rooms)

Andrew Harp, brand leader, Tru by Hilton, said in a statement: “Each of our new locations is an opportunity to treat guests to the calibre of stay that has become synonymous with the brand.” 

Tru's unique appeal

Tru by Hilton stands out for its design, catering to a diverse range of travellers. 

With nearly 275 hotels, the brand focuses on delivering consistent and enjoyable experiences at an affordable price point. 

Guests can expect features such as redesigned lobbies, a customisable "Top It" breakfast bar, mural art and a ‘Tru-ly Local Wall’ showcasing local neighbourhoods, highlighting attractions and activities in the area.

With efficiently designed guest rooms, rolling desks and spacious bathrooms, Tru by Hilton provides amenities for both leisure and business travellers. 

“Our goal is to provide everything guests want, delivering the essentials consistently and reliably in a fun environment,” added Harp.
