Twin Gables Guest House in Woodstock, New York, US, part of the verdigreen hotels and residences, has reopened following refurbishment work that lasted for ten months.

Built in the 1880s and transformed into a guest house in 1926, Twin Gables was acquired in 2019 by verdigreen hotels, a family-owned boutique brand.

The company initiated repairs after the purchase, including repainting and re-roofing.

Last year, it engaged architectural company Lubrano Ciavarra to realise its vision.

Preserving the building's original appeal, original wood floors have been restored, and a beam from the 1880s structure now forms the mantle over the parlour fireplace.

The interior now features hand-selected original artwork.

This facelift included the addition of private bathrooms to all guest rooms and a new rooftop deck. Earlier, only four of ten rooms offered en suite facilities.

The "Twin Gables" rooms, situated on the third floor, now offer direct access to the rooftop deck.

Additionally, the roof has been converted into a 400ft² Wellness Terrace, offering space for yoga, meditation, sunrise coffee, sunset wine, and seasonal wellness retreat classes.

verdigreen hotels chief creative officer Azie Shelhorse said: “Twin Gables is a beautiful, historic property and we are honoured to be a part of its story.”

Currently, the company’s portfolio includes Marrero's Guest Mansion, Hotel Mountain Brook, Sunset Inn & Cottages, New London Inn, and more.
