Australia-based hotel operator Veriu Group has inaugurated its third New South Wales (NSW) property, Punthill Maitland, marking its first venture into the region.
The 76-apartment property, located at 373 High Street, is the first hotel brand to open in the town in more than ten years, reported HospitalityNet.
Punthill Maitland offers an array of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, ranging from 24m² to 71m².
Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen, desk, high-speed internet, and smart televisions, among other amenities.
The property also offers a 100m² conference room, a gymnasium, laundry facilities, a lobby café, and more.
It is situated close to the Maitland Showground, the Maitland Regional Art Gallery, and the Maitland Hospital.
The development of Punthill Maitland is a collaborative effort with Panthera Group, which specialises in mixed-use commercial and residential projects in NSW and Queensland.
Veriu Group has several other projects nearing completion, including Punthill Sunshine, Punthill Tuggeranong, and Veriu Macquarie Park.
Furthermore, the group has plans to further deploy the Punthill apartment hotel model across NSW, with additional regional openings anticipated in the forthcoming years.
The company’s current portfolio includes Punthill Little Bourke, Punthill Parramatta, Punthill South Yarra, Veriu Broadway, Veriu Macquarie Park, Veriu Queen Victoria Market, and more.
Last year, Veriu Group announced its collaboration with Pelligra Group, which involves the conversion of more than 5,000m² of office space into a 111-key hotel.
