Virga Capital, a US-based real estate investment and development firm, has announced the strategic acquisition of Residence Inn by Marriott Boise West in Idaho.

This deal, in partnership with Boise-based hotel management company Resolute Road Hospitality, marks the company's first hospitality investment in Boise, highlighting its intention to broaden its presence in the Intermountain West region.

The acquisition coincides with the city's significant market growth, with the location being named one of the top 12 Best Places to Live in the US.

As the third-largest industry in the state, tourism contributes over $3.7bn annually, according to the US Travel Association.

With robust job growth forecasted for the next decade, Boise is drawing national investor and business attention.

Virga Capital CEO Rob Lateiner said: "It's exciting to expand our hospitality footprint into Boise as this market continues to grow.

Plans for the hotel include renovations to both its interior and exterior to enhance the guest experience and cement the property's reputation as a top choice for visitors to Boise.

The 104-key Residence Inn boasts a prime location near Boise State University, Boise Towne Square Mall, Boise Airport, Downtown Boise, and Micron Technology.

Its extended-stay offerings and modern amenities are designed to meet the needs of both corporate and leisure travellers.
