Wayfarer San Diego, a surf-inspired beachfront hotel, has opened on Pacific Beach in San Diego, US, as reported by TravelDailyNews.com.

The hotel, previously called the Blue Sea Beach Hotel, has been renovated with a modern design that reflects the surf and skate culture of the local community.

Located in California, it has 126 coastal-inspired rooms and suites featuring private balconies, with most offering ocean views.

The upgraded suites are designed to accommodate different guest groups, offering private bedrooms, bunk beds and comfortable lounge areas.

These accommodations also include custom art by street artist Cheyenne Randall, combined with bohemian textiles with modern metal accents, statement rugs and vintage-inspired furniture.

Guests at the property can dine at Zephyr Café, which serves Nashville Hot Biscuit Sammy, roasts from Bird Rock Coffee Roasters and pizzas, along with a customisable mini cocktail programme.

This café, which is open from morning until evening, pays homage to the SoCal Zephyr skateboarding team, Z-Boys.

The hotel also has a retail store that provides local gear from brands such as Catch Surf and Pura Vida.

Among the other amenities provided at the property include a heated outdoor pool, outdoor firepits and a new pool deck with custom daybeds and a mural titled Sirens by David Flores.

The refurbishments have also added a renovated lobby along with a curated book library.

Additionally, the hotel provides guests access to the town's local dining and nightlife, including an oceanfront tiki bar at Beach House and line dancing with live music at Moonshine Beach.

Guests can also enjoy a bike ride along the boardwalk, a walk to Crystal Pier and Belmont Park and a surf lesson through the hotel's partnership with Pacific Surf School.
