Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel in the US state of Georgia has announced the completion of its multi-million-dollar renovation.

The 372-room hotel is managed by HEI Hotel & Resorts, a hospitality investment and management company headquartered in Norwalk city, Connecticut, US.

The renovation covered public spaces, guest rooms/suites, and the addition of a new café and marketplace called Perimeter Provisions, which provides snacks and has a Starbucks outlet.

Westin Atlanta Perimeter North general manager Thierry Grodet said: "The scope of this renovation improved virtually every aspect of the hotel, including adding a new cafe and marketplace in our lobby and creating a spectacular outdoor patio dining setting overlooking our private lake.

"With the project complete, the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North now has the latest and greatest amenity and services packages available within its segment in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter area."

The remodel saw the addition of two new perimeter suites. The largest Bi-Level suite now has two bedrooms.

The improvements also led to the addition of cabanas with firepits for dining alfresco at the SAVOR Patio of the hotel.

Guestrooms and suites, which offer views of Atlanta’s various skylines, have received new soft goods and bathroom amenities, while the redesigned lobby now offers more natural lighting.

The hotel also boasts 17 living room suites featuring separate bedrooms and an oversized parlour with a sofa and dining area.

The property can host business gatherings as well as social events at its 20,000ft² meeting space.

Additionally, the pet-friendly hotel offers amenities such as an outdoor pool and Westin Workout fitness room.

Located at 7 Concourse Parkway NE in the Perimeter Centre neighbourhood of Atlanta city, the hotel has easy access to the MARTA railway system and is also near Sandy Springs Performing Arts Centre and Perimeter Mall, the city’s largest upscale mall.

Cybercriminals are attracted to a wealth of personal data making the travel sector a prime target

The travel and tourism sector is becoming increasingly digitalized, embracing emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and cloud. As the digital ecosystems of companies grow, they become more vulnerable to cyberattacks. The industry is fragmented, thereby increasing the number of potential entry points for attackers to exploit. Collaboration is vital, and companies must ensure that all their vendors also have suitable measures in place. Per GlobalData estimates, cybersecurity revenues in the T&T sector are forecasted to reach $3.5 billion by 2026.
