In 2024, the Hôtel Barrière Le Westminster Le Touquet in Côte d'Opale, Northern France, will reach its centenary anniversary.
Operated by the Groupe Barrière brand, which was founded in 1912 and operates in the French luxury hotel industry and in the catering and leisure industries, the Hôtel Barrière Le Westminster Le Touquet recently underwent extensive renovations.
The hotel will celebrate its anniversary by hosting a gala dinner on 5 April, a garden party on 16 June, and its Spring Art Deco Festival in April and May, a heritage exhibition organised in partnership with the city of Le Touquet.
Later in the year, the Westminster Barrière Hotel will host a golf competition, a centennial brunch, and a New Years Eve celebration on 31 December.
In addition to these activities and events, guests staying at the Westminster will receive a specially designed Centennial souvenir gift: locally sourced products such as tea, ginger biscuits, local jams or honey from the Westminster's hives.
In 2021, the hotel achieved a five-star rating. It claims to be the location that famous author Ian Fleming conceived of the character James Bond.
Groupe Barrière currently operates 18 hotels in France, Morrocco, and the US, 32 casinos, and employs almost 7,000 people.
