Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co and Savills, on behalf of undisclosed private owners, have listed the Wyck Hill House Hotel in Gloucestershire, UK, for sale.

The Grade II Listed country house is on the market with a guide price of £10m for the freehold interest.

Its location provides a gateway to the Cotswolds countryside, an area known for its natural beauty and tourist appeal.

Currently shuttered, the Wyck Hill House Hotel property also comes with approved planning permission for extensive renovation.

These consents cover the main building, the Coach House, and the Orangery, allowing for a complete transformation of the estate.

Savills director James Greenslade said: "We expect to see interest from a range of potential purchasers who will be attracted by the scale of the opportunity, its accessible location and its proximity to the popular Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold.”

Christie & Co regional director Ed Bellfield is handling the property sale.

Bellfield said: "Wyck Hill House Hotel offers an exciting opportunity for an imaginative buyer to become the latest custodian of one of the Cotswold’s renowned hotel businesses. It is rare that a property of this magnitude, in such a desirable location, comes to the open market.

“The range of development opportunities present an exciting potential for a new owner to improve the hotel facilities and create a destination venue of scale and character, within easy reach of London, Bristol and Birmingham."

Last month, Christie & Co closed the sale of two hotels, Forest Lodge Hotel and Hadley Park House, in the Midlands, UK.
