Wyndham opens its first Wyndham Grand-branded hotel in South Korea

The hotel features 270 rooms and suites, various dining options, a spa, a fitness facility and an indoor heated pool.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has further bolstered its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of Wyndham Grand Ijin Busan in South Korea.

This new hotel marks Wyndham Grand's entry into the country, adding to the company’s expanding portfolio of over 1,700 hotels in the Asia-Pacific region.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts vice-president of operations for South East Asia and Pacific Rim Ben Schumacher said: “South Korea offers endless opportunity for international travellers to experience new cultures, visit historic landmarks and create long-lasting memories.

“Introducing Wyndham Grand to Busan not only adds to our growing portfolio in the region but also unlocks remarkable experiences for guests in a vibrant city with world-class amenities to make their stay special.”

Located in Busan, the country’s second-largest city, the hotel boasts 270 rooms and suites with views of the coastline, catering to both business and leisure travellers.

Guests at the hotel can dine at the hotel’s various dining settings, serving local as well as international cuisine.

It can host events ranging from weddings to meetings at its six event venues, including a ballroom that can accommodate 550 banquet guests or 700 conference guests.

It also provides a range of amenities, including a spa, a heated indoor pool offering views of Namhang Bridge and a fitness facility.

The hotel is less than 20km away from Gimhae International Airport.

Guests at the property can also visit nearby spots such as Songdo Beach, Jagalchi Market and the national geopark Taejongdae, as well as enjoy riding the Songdo Marine Cable Car.

The brand’s recent openings include Sam Lord's Castle Resort & Spa, Wyndham Grand Barbados and Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town.

These are among the 70 existing Wyndham Grand hotels worldwide.

Currently, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has about 9,100 hotels in more than 95 countries spanning six continents.
