Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, a hotel franchising company, has opened the first Wyndham Grand property in Poland, known as Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town.

The 60-guestroom hotel is operated by Dobry Hotel Group, a hotel management company.

It is situated in Krakow Old Town, close to landmarks such as Market Square, Cloth Hall and St Mary’s Basilica.

Located in a historic townhouse, the hotel offers a historic cultural experience with high-end amenities and modern comforts.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts president for Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa Dimitris Manikis stated: "Our distinctive Wyndham Grand brand represents best-in-class hospitality, and the opening of Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town is a welcomed addition to our presence in Poland, while also marking an important step in our expansion plans for the country.

"Dobry Hotel Group is one of the top hospitality operators in the country who shares our vision for growth, making them the ideal partner to bring the Wyndham Grand brand to Poland."

Wyndham Grand is a collection of upscale hotels designed for accessibility. It aims to offer unique experiences with refined lodgings, attentive service and a relaxed ambience.

The addition of Wyndham Grand Krakow Old Town has expanded the brand’s destination portfolio, which also includes Manama, Istanbul and Athens.

This hotel marks Wyndham's eighth property in Poland, joining others in Warsaw, Lodz, Wroclaw and Krakow.

Its wellness zone offers a fitness facility, a heated indoor pool and a spa with a sauna, a hot tub and a salt cave.

Dining options at the hotel include two on-site restaurants offering international and Italian cuisines.

It also offers business travellers two meeting rooms accommodating up to 150 guests, and an executive centre.

It is 1km from Krakow's main train station and 13km from Krakow airport.

Wyndham hotels in Poland are also part of the Wyndham Rewards programme, which includes vacation club resorts, hotels and rentals across the world.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts operates 24 hotel brands and has around 9,100 hotels in more than 95 countries across six continents.

Demand for upscale and luxurious products has been rising steadily in the travel and tourism sector

The increased need for privacy, a greater focus on health and wellbeing, a desire to tick off ‘bucket list’ experiences, the tendency to take longer trips, the focus on eco-tourism, and an increase in millionaires means the theme of premiumization will continue to grow in importance. The travel industry will experience a surge in demand for higher-end and customized offerings as experiential consumption keeps growing. While premiumization attracts only a small number of global travelers, it is a valuable revenue stream for companies as it is unlikely to be impacted by external factors like economic downturns.
