Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort in Hwaseong-si city, marking the debut of its Trademark Collection brand in South Korea.
The new property boasts 190 rooms and extensive convention facilities, positioning it as an ideal location for corporate events, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), and weddings.
La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort provides guests with a range of amenities including a nine-hole golf course, fine dining options, and proximity to cultural attractions.
Spanning 330,000m², the resort features a fitness centre, saunas, swimming pools, and dining facilities that feature international cuisines from skilled local chefs.
The property also offers convenient access to conference space, Wi-Fi, and nearby corporate hubs such as Samsung Electronics and Hyundai-Kia Motors.
Wyndham Asia Pacific president Joon Aun OOI said: "Hotel owners in Asia Pacific continue to see the benefits of the Wyndham Advantage—global brand exposure, innovative technology, a growing loyalty base and more.
“Introducing Trademark to South Korea helps independent owners maximise their opportunity in the market, while delivering the incredibly unique experiences each Trademark hotel offers guests exploring the country."
The opening of La Vie D'or Hotel and Resort expands Wyndham's footprint in South Korea to more than 30 hotels.
The company has nearly 20 Trademark hotels across the Asia Pacific region.
This strategic move taps into the increasing demand for business and leisure travel in South Korea, which has seen a significant recovery post-pandemic.
In 2023, the country welcomed approximately 11m inbound visitors, with the travel and tourism market expected to reach $13.66bn by 2024.
In December 2023, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts broadened its Trademark Collection by introducing the Quadro Hotel in St Julian’s, Malta, marking the brand’s inaugural presence on the island.
