Zannier Hotels has entered a collaboration with NEOM to set up a new luxury eco-resort, Zannier Zardun, in Saudi Arabia.

Lying along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline within NEOM’s Magna development, the resort will offer 100 rooms and suites across three signature buildings.

Zannier Zardun will feature an underground entrance leading guests to a 360° observation deck.

It will provide educational programmes focused on nature conservation and rewilding, alongside sports and leisure activities such as yoga and rock climbing.

Prioritising the environment, the property will feature oases to help reintroduce native wildlife and plant species within the 4km² Zardun area.

Zannier Interior Design Studio designed all of Zannier’s projects.

Zannier Hotels founder and CEO Arnaud Zannier said: “We are thrilled to officialise our collaboration with NEOM. This partnership marks a significant milestone, solidifying our position among top-tier hospitality brands.

“It highlights our ambitious vision and commitment to excellence, serving as both a cornerstone for our brand's evolution and a testament to our emergence as a formidable contender in the luxury hospitality market.”

NEOM hotel division executive director Chris Newman said: “Our collaboration with Zannier Hotels, a brand that shares our commitment to authenticity, sustainable practices, and creating unique guest experiences rooted in nature, represents a powerful partnership for NEOM.

“Zannier Hotels' dedication to authentic experience makes them the ideal partner for Magna. Together, we will create a sanctuary that embraces the stunning natural beauty of the Gulf of Aqaba, pushing boundaries in progressive architecture with the aim to redefine how we travel, stay, and live.”

This development follows Equinox Hotels' announcement of joining the NEOM regional development in July.

Equinox Resort Treyam will include a 450m-long bridge, suspended 40m above a lagoon.

Envisaged as a sustainable futuristic project, NEOM forms a major part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which seeks to reduce the Kingdom's reliance on oil.
