The hotel group claims it is the first company in the hospitality industry to introduce an app for the new platform.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts SPG and digital senior vice president Chris Holdren said that wearable technology is the newest platform to provide information in an accessible way to support the needs of the company’s guests and to enhance their travel experience.
"Our goal is to explore these new technologies and learn from our guests’ interactions with them so we can continue to deliver the best experiences at every point in their journey – from when our guests are dreaming about their next destination to when they walk in our front door and beyond," added Holdren.
The SPG app was designed and built by Starwood’s internal team of tech experts with the aim of providing its customers with a seamless experience.
