In the five-star-superior hotel Park Hyatt Hamburg, hotel guests can find Hamburg’s largest hotel suite. Situated on Mönckebergstraße, one of the main shopping promenades and part of the historic Levantehaus building, the Park Hyatt Hamburg combines maritime charm with modern elegance.
The 231m² presidential suite, called Mendelssohn Suite, is located on the eighth floor of the hotel, and as for the rest of the hotel it is spaciously designed in natural materials. The interior design of the suite was carried out by Hirsch Bedner Associates, Atlanta (US), who chose warm, earthy colours and cherry wood floors and furniture for the extraordinary settings. This is accompanied by a selection of art pieces by, among others, the German painters Folkert Rasch and Gero Flurschütz – and A/V products from Bang & Olufsen.
The living room features a 50in BeoVision 9 TV together with a BeoCenter 2 audio system with DVD, a BeoSound 5 audio system that combines a tangible navigation wheel with a digital screen and offers built-in internet radio with more than 10,000 internet radio stations worldwide, and the iconic BeoCom 2 telephone. All items are carefully selected to fit with the exquisite interior and art pieces. The TV and audio systems are complemented by a surround set up including two BeoLab 9 used as front speakers, two BeoLab 4000 as back speakers and a built-in center speaker in the BeoVision 9.
All Bang & Olufsen products are controlled with the Beo5 remote control.
In addition, the master bedroom offers a BeoVision 9 TV and in the 30m² bathroom, designed by Philippe Starck, the Bang & Olufsen sound is provided by a BeoVox 1 speaker, which is controlled from the BeoVision 9 in the living room or in the bed room.
Besides the presidential suite, the Park Hyatt Hamburg offers 283 rooms including 31 apartments and 21 suites, all equipped with Bang & Olufsen products within the range of BeoVision 8, BeoVision 6 and BeoVision 7.
