The historic Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai recently underwent extensive restoration work, including a complete makeover of the majestic Tata Suite, which was also fitted with state-of-the art audio and video equipment from Bang & Olufsen.
The luxurious 5,000ft² Tata Suite is one of India’s most luxurious hotel suites. The Tata Suite occupies almost an entire wing on the sixth floor and offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and The Gateway of India as well as gracious personalised butler service and airport transfers by Jaguars. It is designed around a central theme and the artwork and antiques recreate old world charm with a blend of modern amenities.
Bang & Olufsen’s customised AV solutions in the Tata Suite embrace the essence of the space with impressive sound and picture experiences delivered by a range of acclaimed Bang & Olufsen products, including several BeoVision 7-40 and 55in TVs, BeoLab 8002 loudspeakers and not least a BeoSound 9000 and a BeoCenter 2 audio system.
“The Taj Mahal Palace is exclusive, grand and luxurious, and it was essential that we selected an audio/video partner to fully reflect this image. Thanks to our partnership with Bang & Olufsen, the Tata Suite offers each guest a unique experience that will without doubt add an extra dimension to the concept of room service,” says Gaurav Pokhariyal, general manager of The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
“The Taj Mahal Palace quest for higher excellence matches perfectly to the essential values of Bang & Olufsen and together we have been able to create an unforgettable guest experience,” says Flemming Nielsen, managing director of Bang & Olufsen Enterprise.
President Obama and his wife were the first guests to occupy the Tata Suite just days after the final touches were completed.
